Oro Gardens Memorial Park
One of my biking course stopovers was at the Oro Gardens Memorial Park located at Upper Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City. Overlooking the memorial park is the meandering Cagayan River. With its amazing panorama and peaceful surroundings, one can really reflect, have time to meditate, and reminisce warmhearted memories of departed love ones. I remembered the movie, “The Bucket List” when the main two characters died and their remains or ashes were placed inside a can and laid in a concrete gravestone on top of Mount Everest. And the last thing on their list was to “witness something truly majestic”. Continue reading

Camiguin Island
These pictures were taken last July 28, 2008, approaching the beautiful Island of Camiguin. This is one of the unforgettable family adventures. We travelled by bus from Cagayan de Oro to Balingoan, and from there we took a ferryboat bound for Camiguin Island. Maybe just thinking about the trip some people will assume that it is very tiring. I mean, riding a bus and ferryboat, and all that. Despite the long trip you will really admire the scenery of the place especially when you are approaching the island.
